I’m working on a Communications question and need guidance to help me study.
For this 8-paragraph essay, you must evaluate yourself as a media user against the media users’ feature criteria in the right hand column of Figure 3.1 of your reading. Remember in this chapter, media use is focused on“public affairs news media,” such as evening news, talk shows, newspapers, magazines, and web sites on current affairs. It also includes our use of social media like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. Additionally, the term “media use” for this essay includes entertainment media, such as films, novels, and theater (many people learn about historical event or other life experiences through these media, whether it’s a drama about World War II, a novel about growing up poor in the South, or a play that addresses child abuse). As you analyze your own media use, you need to write about these types of “public affairs news media.”
Of the 9 criteria, please choose 3 of the criteria you think are your strengths as a media user, supporting each of the criteria with definitions (with textbook APA citation) and detailed examples from your own media usage behavior. Then, please analyze 3 of the criteria that you think you need most improvement, supporting each of your answers with definitions (with textbook APA citation) and detailed examples from your own media usage behavior. You must have proper introduction, body, and conclusion paragraphs. Please follow the assignment to help you write the essay. An APA “cheat sheet” is at the end of the syllabus appendix.
