Look carefully at the nutritional labels for two popular products that claim to give you an energy boost: Mountain Dew Kickstart and 5 Hour Energy. What ingredients do they have that you think could contribute to their energy-boosting ability? Are they similar, or are there major differences? Do they boost energy in the same way or differently? Most importantly, are they using “energy” in the same way we have been or are they really talking about something else?
