I need help with a Literature question. All explanations and answers will be used to help me learn.
Discuss how and why in Faulkner’s “A Rose for Emily,” we find ourselves blocked: Homer is dead, Tobe walks off, the narrator provides no access to Emily’s consciousness, the dates never quite add up to an understandable chronology. Why are our sources of information so limited? What effect does Faulkner achieve by this elusiveness? Use two sources.
Sources can be Sparknotes and things as such. The essay does not have to use big words, it can be simple. I don’t understand the story and narration so I need help.
